PCUZ11 Brochure

Global ET Remote IO (RIO) Module Graphic The PCUZ11 is a small CAN & LIN interface network node that provides remote control and data collection for analog or digital signals. These are well suited for remote monitoring and closed-loop control. These are designed to support the PCU & PMC in power management, control, and integration applications.

The PCUZ11 was created to provide the much needed remote control and data collection capability for CAN based control systems. Applications such as power management, control, and integration benefit from the scalability and flexibility of PCI-Z11 nodes. Whether the need is Research & Development, testing, prototyping, or even production, the PCUZ11 can be that missing link that allows equipment, components, devices to communication on a high speed CAN bus network.

The onboard ADC of the PCUZ11 can accommodate many types of sensors including current transducers, thermocouples, strain gauges, voltage, pressure sensors, flow meters, etc.

PCUZ11 Enables:

  • Condition Based Maintenance (CBM)
    • Diagnostics / Prognostics
  • Situational Awareness of Vehicle Sub-Systems / Loads / Devices

The PCUZ11 is enclosed in a rugged aluminum packaged designed to survive the most challenging environments. The small lightweight size is convenient for placing in the smallest spaces close to the point of concern.

The PCUZ11 can perform local closed loop control with the built-in output functions as well as macro control from a bus networked controller such as a Power Management Controller.

The PCUZ11 is ideal for thermal management applications where multiple temperature sense points are required. With intelligent onboard software, the PCUZ11 is also well suited for condition based maintenance applications where pattern recognition, condition learning, historical tracking, and other advanced monitoring functions are required.

The PCUZ11 can be networked on the CAN bus to work in concert with many PCUs and many other CAN devices to provide data collection and control for power management applications. The PCUZ11 could relay data to a PMC which in turn can translate to many other networks and protocols including wireless ethernet, USB, Zigbee, as well as industrial networks such as Modbus, LonWorks, BACnet, Ethernet/IP, Metasys, DH+, Profibus, ControlNet, SNMP, etc.
