The Power Management Application (PMA) is a software program that performs high level computing and networking for embedded power applications. The PMA has been developed for start-of-the-art power management, control, and integration applications.

The PMA is an ideal solution for many power and energy implementations such as Distributed Energy Resource (DER) control, Fuel Cell Control, Vehicle Power Integration, Microgrid control, or Residential Power Automation.

The PMA is designed for the most challenging power management, control, and integration applications. Power management, control, and integration are essential to manage the overburdened vehicle-based power systems.

Many aspects of power management, control, and integration also apply to other contained power systems such as distributed generation microgrids.

Today’s power systems demand advanced functions which can only be performed by the PMA. The PMA implements many features that enable Global ET’s other power products including:

  • Power Control Unit (PCU)

  • Power Management Controller (PMC)

  • PCU Remote IO (PCUZ11)

  • Power Data Logger (PDL) When integrated together, these combine to form a complete power management, control, and integration system.

The PMA is a software solution allowing for changes or customization to be performed with minimal effort. Whether the application resides on a microcontroller or a blade server, the PMA can be scaled appropriately. In small systems, the PMA can operate in a microcontroller performing application specific limited features. In large systems, many PMAs can work together linking several sub-systems together to form a power network.

The PMA graphical user interface has been designed to be user friendly with standard Windows look-and-feel for navigation, configuration, data entry, etc. Visual feedback to system status and performance facilitates system operation and maintenance. The PMA applies state-of-the-art software functionality and communication to modern power and energy challenges.
